A rich red wine of Chile prodced by a well-established French winemaking family. The Laurent family is based in central France, but they have holdings in Chile as well here they grow grapes without pesticides and make wines fermented by native yeasts. Carmenere is a grape the originates in Bordeaux and while it's still technically allowed to be used there it's far more commonly found in Chile where migrating farmers brought it decades ago. No new oak is used, avoiding the intense woodiness of some new world Bordeaux-style wines, making a drink more suited for pleasant food pairing.
