A lovely and complex expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that is more than one-dimensional grapefruit bomb. There are citrusly notes but it is paired with flavors of elderflowres, peppers and and stony minerality. Biodynamically grown grapes, native yeast fermentation and no fining or filtering.

"Two estate vineyards provide grapes for the Huia Sauvignon Blanc. The stony sandy loam soils of the Huia vineyard offer a tropical fruit profile while the clay-based soils of our Winsome vineyard provide herbaceous notes, lime and minerality to the wine.
Established in 1996, by Claire and Mike Allan, Huia (pronounced "HOO-yah") Vineyards are organic and biodynamically farmed. Not only are the vineyards farmed without chemicals, but they are also home to cows that wander through the vines, amidst wild flowers that grow at the vines' roots."
