A delightful, tart and mineral Pinot Noir from the northern reaches of Burgundy. No oak, wild yeasts, hand picked fruit and a focus on their estate wines. Giftable without a high price tag, and has one of the more whimsical and nifty labels on our shelves, which never hurts (assume there is good wine in the bottle, and there indeed is here).

"This wine comes from vines planted in and around Tonnerre, planted between 1992 and 1999, on southeast facing soils of clay and limestone. Wild yeast fermentation takes place in stainless, then the wine is transferred to old barrels for 4 to 6 months before being bottled lightly fined and filtered. It offers pretty light cherry and chalky notes on a medium frame with a long finish."
