A stunning Chenin Blanc from an underappreciated sub-region of the Loire. Inheriting a vineyard from his parents Pascal Janvier decided stop selling the grapes as they had and use it for making his own wines. His holding is located in the northern Loire Valley, of the tributary river called Loir in the appellation of Jasnières. The fermentation ends when Janvier believes the wine has stuck a balance of acidity and sugar, leaving the wine just barely off-dry which imparts more of a fuller mouthfeel than actual sweetness.
