In the sourthern Beaujolais town of Oignt, Nathalie Banes manages vineyards and shares a winery with her husband Julien Merle. All the grapes are grown organically and plowing is done by horses. Semi-carbonic gamay from a mix of old and new vines with no sulfur used except a very low dose only for bottles bound for export. The vines are at 500 meters high in limestone clay soil and aging is done in large concrete tanks.
