A racy, bright and fruity liter of Riesling, what isn't to love? Though technically an off-dry style this Halbtrocken tastes utterly dry due to the high acidity of the grapes. From the Pfalz region of Germany, Minges is a 6th generation winery dating back to the 16th century. Organically farmed and in the process of converted to biodynamic agriculture, the wines are all naturally fermented and only a minimal dosing of sulfur at bottling.
From the mouth of the importer (Terry Theise):
"Pfalz-meets-Mosel in these high-flying minerally-leesy wines. Extraordinary value across the board. The best, best, best quality large-format wines I have ever tasted ANYWHERE. Intriguingly they’re not like typical Pfalz wines, but rather like some Pfalz-Mosel hybrid. They tend to run compact and chalky, with crunchy vivid flavors. And there are no better values anywhere in this offering!"
