Harrington Wines fit into the New California school of winemaking that we focus on at the shop. Low intervention techniques such as embracing the use of native yeasts, low or no sulfur, and no chemicals to adjust taste, color or what-have-you. Harrington purchases grapes, both because owning vineyards in the expensive Californian property market can be daunting and to take advantage of the old vines of obscure grapes growing all over the state.
The fruit for this wine coming from Lodi, where over 120 grape varieties are cultivated. The exact age of the vines is unknown, but they’ve been there for decades, and old is new and cool again.
