Bordeaux is the home of both the Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, with the later producing grapes at a far reduced rate than the latter. Because of this Sauvignon Blanc is often the majority grape in the blends of the region but this wine is less commonly found 90% Semillon. A fantastic variety, Semillon is worth the trouble of growing for its ability to retain acidity and a sense of freshness.
From the mouth of the importer (Polaner):
"This semillon dominant blend is an excellent value in white bordeaux, brimming with citrus and floral notes and a lovely roundness on the palate."
