Next time you set your time machine to visit ancient Greece, bring this bottle along for the ride. Ancient Spartan warriors might encourage you to water it down, but we prefer the barbaric (unwatered) style of drinking.
From the Importer's mouth (Skurnik):
100% Moscofilero. “Salto” refers to a leap of faith in Greek. The Salto project began when Skouras elected to bottle only a single colon of Moscofilero, the darkest and thickest skinned Mavrofilero. Grown at 600 m in the Mantinia sub region, these 10 year old vines are tended in sandy soils. Skin contact for 3 hours. Up to 48% free-run juice due to dark skins. Controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats with wild yeasts. Short ageing over fine lees.
