Skin-contact Georgian wine, from the country's main white grape variety. Zara Darsavelidze was a soldier and now works a winery his inherited from his father. His Rkatsiteli vines were planted 65 years ago by his father. The vineyards are 300 to 400 meters above sea level, providing the grapes with cool breezes that prevent them from cooking in the hot summers. Traditional qvevri is used for fermentation and aging, the only producer in Kvemo Kartli to do so. These were brought by his grandfather, some are 300 years old. The 2014 vintage had only 2,300 bottles produced for the entire winery.
